Indices of Deprivation

The Indices of Deprivation uses a range of indicators, organised across seven domains of deprivation, which are combined to calculate the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD). Each LSOA in England is ranked according to its relative level of deprivation (with 1 as the most deprived).

This section shows rankings within Somerset; the darkest areas on the maps indicate the 20% most deprived areas within the county.
